Design of OEM cables
We can meet virtually all special requirements for OEM cables. We design and manufacture moulding tools and dies as needed to meet your specifications, e.g. for moulded strain relief cable clamps, connectors, ferrite slugs or rings etc., in order that the cables will meet the requirements of your specific systems and a wide range of environmental conditions. We have many years’ extensive experience of the manufacture of cables and cable sets.
Screening
Very high screening performance in respect of emission and immunity is ensured by the use of a copper foil which is 360° soldered around the connector and the plaited wire cable screen.
This is very important in order to fulfil the requirements of EN-55022 in respect of electromagnetic compatibility. Only then is the cable completed by moulding the housing.
Stronger and more reliable
The SpeciFlex technology produces an integrally moulded strain relief cable clamp that joins the cable to the connector for a very high integrity design. The cable clamp also provides a smooth join between the cable and the connector, i.e. no sharp folds or bends in the cable. The result is a more reliable cable, protected against moisture, vibration, mechanical effects etc. There is no damage to the cable itself, which can occur all too often with ordinary screwed housings which clamp the cable and its conductors hard and destroy the cable performance characteristics.
Logotype, colour and packaging
we can mark your cable with your logotype or other information, e.g. your part number. It can also, of course, be moulded in any required colour in various types of environmentally benign plastics. Cables are normally packed in closed plastic bags, which are of course also of environmentally benign plastic. Cables and packaging can be marked to your requirements: part numbers, bar code, date, serial number and logotype, all as required.
Testing
All cables are visually inspected and automatically tested before delivery, ensuring that they fulfil specified performance requirements.
